Title: Lady Emma's Campaign
Author: Jennifer Moore
Genre: Historical Romance, LDS
Published: November 1, 2014
When Captain Sidney Fletcher was taken captive by the French in Spain Emma decided she needed to be a part of the rescue efforts. Once behind enemy lines Emma and Sidney had a difficult time getting back to safety.
I loved the characters from the first book and I was really looking forward to this one. Then I started reading and got stuck. The first half felt unrealistic. Given who Emma was and how she was raised, born a sheltered Lady from England, having her stow away on a ship and voluntarily go into a war torn foreign country. It seemed out of line on the reality scale.
The second half of the book I really enjoyed. Once Emma was embroiled in the situation where all she was really able to do was react and keep going I was able to really get into the story.
Overall I gave this book 3 stars out of 5.
