Title: Concealed in Death (In Death #38)

Author: J. D. Robb

Genre: Mystery

Published:February 18, 2014

The 38th book in the series started with Roarke finding two bodies behind a wall in one of his buildings. The police proceeded to find another ten bodies. The story that followed consisted of identifying the bodies, notifying families and finding the killer.

At one point near the beginning Eve had a passing thought about her past. It was an aspect Ms. Robb hasn't really explored and I thought it would have been a good opportunity and interesting if she had explored it. Then when she didn't I was a little disappointed. Later I realized Eve's story wasn't the story she was trying to tell. It wasn't her background that was being deepened. Once I understood that I enjoyed the direction the book went.

As always I loved the side characters. Dr. Mira has always been one of my favorite people in the series. This book had a couple of good scenes with both of the Miras. At one point I wanted to give Mr. Mira a hug because of the person he was.

After a while the victims and all their details did begin to run together. I did like how the author handled the family notifications and their reactions.

Let me just say there were two characters we met in this story that really stood out to me. The first was Rosetta Delagio, her attitude was fantastic. We need more people like her in this world. The other character was Quilla. I hope she is brought back in later books.

Over all I gave this book 5 stars out of 5.
