Ellie's Aunt Bertie decided she knew what was best for Ellie and that was John. Despite barely meeting each other Bertie told the town not only were they dating, but they would soon be married.

There was some humor, but I was grateful I had never been in a position where people assumed something about me because someone else had said that was the way things were. I even became a little frustrated a couple of times when Ellie had tried to explain to people she and John weren't dating.

The romance happened a little fast for me. I liked the relationship the two characters had when it was just the two of them, but they didn't really talk about things that should be important if you are going to be in a relationship with someone. I wondered what she thought about his divorce and the reasons behind it. I also wondered what she was planning on doing about school when the summer was over. What were they going to do about her potential carrier? They never talked about those types of things.

Overall I gave this book 3 stars out of 5.
